What this version adds

Everything Talkie does, including:

  • Extensions from the community extension store, which run on your Mac. They need Node.js on your Mac; Talkie tells you if it is missing.
  • Script filters you write or bring yourself.
  • Window commands and pasting into the app you are using, after you allow Accessibility.
  • File search across your Desktop, Documents and Downloads folders.
  • Moving an app to the Trash from the launcher, and Show Trash.

Extensions and script filters are other people's programs. Install them as you would any app.

Requirements

  • macOS 14.6 or later.
  • This download is for Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later). It does not run on Intel Macs.
  • AI with Apple's on-device model needs macOS 26 or later with Apple Intelligence turned on.
  • Apple's speech engine and translation need macOS 26 or later; on earlier versions dictation uses a Whisper model you download once in Settings (about 800 MB).
  • Extensions need Node.js.

Talkie keeps your data on your Mac. The Privacy Policy says what Talkie stores, and what extensions can do.
